Organ Transplant: Moniruzzaman's Has a Good Point

There is an immense issue regarding organ transplant one being the method in which patients receive these organs in the first place. This entails whether or not they bought the organ or whether or not the organ was donated. I would like to argue that the selling of organs promotes a decrease in the poorer populations because of the inability of the poor to buy organs like the wealthy. While the argument made by Moniruzzaman had very interesting points I think that this aspect of his argument is the most important because it goes beyond exploitation of the poor. There is a sense of overall elimination of the poor because it will be the poor who will not be able to replace their faulty organs when in need and the wealthy who will. The wealthy live longer as a result of the organs they are able to buy off of the poorer people but what happens when we have poorer people who need the organs? Organ selling by a poor person is done usually out of desperation to obtain compensation. Once they get the money they need to pay off medical bills that result from the transplant and pay for whatever else they need, the money runs out. The money to begin with is not ever enough to get one out of poverty and this is where the cycle begins.  The rich stay alive longer and stay rich because all they do is throw away an insignificant amount of money to appease the donor in order to obtain the organ. This allows more healthy wealthy people live at the expense of the pooper people who die because they cannot afford the organs themselves. The poor will keep looking for ways to gain money through selling then die anyway, while the rich can afford to keep buying and live.  If only the rich are able to prolong their lives then eventually the poor will die out. Someone could argue my view and say that all one needs is to be paid the “right” price and then the trade would be fair. I would counter that paying this huge amount of money would be unlikely and unrealistic because of the thousands of sellers who would not mind taking less compensation then what one poor person could demand. Like any commodity, if one is desperate enough they will sell their good at whatever they can get especially if times are really hard.
